signed Pushman (lower right)
Condition:
The following condition report has been provided by Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc., an independent restorer who is not an employee of Sotheby's: This work on panel has been mounted onto a stretcher with linen covering the back. This is a typical form of presentation for the artist. The work is clean and varnished. Under ultraviolet light the varnish is quite opaque. In the background there are some tiny dark marks but almost none of these are associated with retouching; they are simply part of the artist’s technique. The work should be hung as is. Framed Dimensions: 37 by 35 1/2 in. (94 by 90.2 cm.)
Provenance:
Estate of the artist Acquired from the above in 2002 by the present owner.
