Alexander Proudfoot was born in Liverpool November 7, 1878 and died in Glasgow July 10, 1957. He studied in Liverpool and was the head of sculpture at the Glasgow School of Art from 1912-1928. He figures and portraits at the Royal Scottish Academy and was elected A.R.S.A in 1920 and R.S.A. in 1932
