framed: 55½ by 46 in.; 140.9 by 116.8 cm The canvas is lined. There is minor paint loss along the upper, right, and bottom edges due to frame abrasion. U-shaped repair circa 3 by 4 inches at center left under the window. The paint surface is otherwise in good condition. Under UV light, inpainting to aforementioned repair, the bottom rungs of the chair, the leftmost child's dress, and on the mother's skirt; larger area of inpainting to the background at center right and along the bottom edge; small areas of inpainting at upper left corner.
