Note: Born and brought up in Co. Dublin Alastair went to Art College in Wales. In 1985 he was elected to full membership of the Society of Wildlife Artists having shown in their annual Mall Galleries exhibitions from 1976. The books he has illustrated include: “Birds of Prey of the British Isles” and “Wildfowl of the British Isles” both published by David and Charles. His work is in many international private collections including over 50 works commissioned by the Sultan of Oman. He has travelled to both the Arctic and Tropics in search of subjects to paint. His paintings are exhibited in galleries around the UK and notably at The House of Bruar in Scotland.
