Juliette LaChaume began exhibiting in the United States in the 1950's-1960's in New York, Mexico and in Palm Beach (Galerie Juarez, 1962); her paintings have appeared in exhibitions world-wide, including Australia, the European continent, and Mexico. During the later portion of her life, she is said to have moved to a chateau in France for family concerns, prompting her notoriety at the time to subside. This painting is said to have hung over the fireplace in her own New York apartment.
