Born in Yaroslav, Russia, John Teyral settled in Lakewood, Ohio where he was a painter with many portrait commissions of prominent persons, muralist, instructor, and designer. He studied at the Cleveland Institute of Art with Henry Keller, and at the School of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.
