Patrik Illo graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava (Studio of Glass and Intermedia Studio in the Painting Department). His work focuses on glass design and visual art. In his design work, he collaborates with many important glassworks (including Moser and Rona), for whom he designs primarily drinkware and vases. He has received many awards in the Czech Republic and abroad for these designs. His freelance work is characterized by exaggeration and humour; he assigns a different expression and provocative sense to ordinary objects. Besides his glass art, he works with other materials such as plush, leather and textiles.
